Hello I am Eric Krochmal RN, MSN, ADME and a few more letters we can get to later… I decided to start this blog in hopes to start some discussion about that topic I have been hearing and struggling with for the past 25 years.. yes 25 years THIS week May 5th 1994 I graduated with my ADN from NH Technical Institute in Concord NH. Since then I have attained my BSN and MSN from the University of Phoenix. I have spent most of the past 25 years as an Emergency Room RN, As well as Flight RN with a Helicopter transport team for 4.5 years.
I have to say that my nursing Career has taken me to places I never imagined. Such as I am also an ADME Assistant Deputy Medical Examiner for the State of NH Department of Justice, Office of The Chief Medical Examiner. Long and short of it I am a Forensic Death investigator, I respond to death scenes and do the investigative work for the Pathologists to determine cause and manner of death. It is amazing work.
This Blog is to start a place to discuss the things we didn’t get in nursing school. I have listened to and experienced several new grads coming out of school, scared as heck of what they are getting into. Or completely unaware of what is expected of them as a nurse on the floor.
Lets talk and see where we go with all of our ideas and experiences…
